Birding is a favorite passtime for visitors to the island

Fisherman Island, on the Chesapeake Bay, is on the Atlantic Flyway. It’s a 3,000-mile avian interstate reaching from the Canadian Arctic to the Caribbean. This is the last island before the open Bay. So, it’s an ultra-important rest stop for birds during the fall migration.
