The Parent Encouragement Program – known as PEP – recently attracted more than 50 parents, grandparents and caregivers at Mace’s Lane Middle School.
The setting was warm and informal. There was food. There was talk.
And above the steady whap-whap-whap of mallets hitting crab shells – there was also something deeper taking shape.
A conversation about parenting. About stress. About support.
And about how adults can build stronger connections with the children in their lives.
Throughout the evening – one message kept coming back.
Parenting is hard. But help is available.
