About 50 people gathered Thursday at the corner of Longwarf Park where the Cambridge Farmers Market takes place – and where, last week, some familiar trees were cut down without explanation.
The event was part sweet sorrow, but also part bitter feelings, as the memorial gathering for the trees was preceded by accusations from organizer David King against the city. City manager Glenn Steckman denied King's online statements and asks for an apology.
