Making Waves with Mary Wilder. Unlike streaming music apps, all of the music programs on WHCP 91.7 are hand chosen by their hosts. In the case of Making Waves, the music selections are progressions from one song to the next, just as one were surfing a wave on the ocean. There is a free range approach to what you’ll hear, with all kinds of music, rock, alternative, reggae, blues, folk, swing, pop and much, much more. Human curation remains such a powerful art form. While artists express stories through their individual songs, DJs craft broader narratives by weaving those songs into a cohesive journey.
