Anne Watts
Anne Watts (Woman Wattage) is an award-winning composer and bandleader of the Baltimore-based ensemble Boister. She has performed at the Crocodile Club in Tokyo, the Kennedy Center, and the Smithsonian, and has been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition, Good Morning America, and in the Wall Street Journal. A 30-year resident of Cambridge, she and her husband John Lewis (host of Innafunk) are 2024 Hometown Heroes.

Drew Sheckler
Building on his experience as a radio host through college and graduate school, Drew brings a decades-long love of independent music and Jazz to Indie City and Jazzmatazz. Drew joined WHCP in its infancy in 2015 and has produced over 1000 shows for the station since its inception. In addition to being one of the longest running on-air hosts, Drew is Vice President of the station’s Board of Directors.

Laura J. Oliver is an award-winning writer, developmental story editor, workshop facilitator, and writing mentor. She is the author of The Story Within, New Insights and Inspiration for Writers (Penguin Random House) reprinted 8 times. Her fiction and nonfiction appear in national magazines, newspapers and literary reviews. She taught at the University of Maryland and St. Johns College and her weekly column for the Talbot Spy, Chestertown Spy, and the Cambridge Spy is featured every Wednesday as “This is How the Story Goes” on NPR-member station, WHCP. Oliver has won a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in Fiction and an Anne Arundel County Literary Arts Award. www.thestorywithin.com
