CWDI Falsified Appointment Status for Narr

For nearly six months, Frank Narr’s status with Cambridge Waterfront Development Incorporated was falsified on its website, claiming he was appointed by Dorchester County.

County records show that claim is untrue.

Narr’s actual status as a member of the board is murky following the restatement of CWDI’s corporate charter late last year when Cambridge Commissioners settled their lawsuit against CWDI.

Under the new arrangement, the board of directors seat that CWDI had used to appoint Narr was eliminated. Cambridge and Dorchester each were allotted three appointments, and the state was given one.

The official restatement of the corporation – filed by CWDI’s own attorneys – noted at the time that Narr and others were current board members. But that was all. The document didn’t specify that Narr’s CWDI-appointed board seat would continue to be grandfathered in.

It was after that corporate reorganization last December that the claim appeared under Narr’s bio on the website. It said simply: “Appointed by Dorchester County Council.”

Records show the only county-appointed members of CWDI are Angie Hengst and Timothy Crosby.

In a June interview, Narr insisted that he rightfully holds a place on CWDI’s board of directors.
