FIREFLY RADIO SETUP AND OPERATION
- Install two AA batteries by CAREFULLY unscrewing the lid and inserting the batteries with + and – as indicated. BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING AND AND REINSERTING THE FIREFLY LEDs – they are FRAGILE! *The Firefly Radio will now turn on via the on/off/volume knob on the lid.
- MANUALLY SETTING THE STATION FREQUENCY
*The two small black buttons under the “Ball” logo on the lid change the station tuning. *The left button tunes down one radio channel per momentary push, the right button tunes up one channel at a time per momentary push. *ONCE RADIO IS PLAYING THE DESIRED STATION, LET RADIO PLAY FOR 20 SECONDS TO SET FREQUENCY.
3. “SCAN ASSIST” SETTING THE STATION FREQUENCY
*Depress either small black button under the “Ball” logo for approximately 5-6 seconds.
*The radio will now scan through stations and play each station for 10-12 seconds before scanning resumes.
*TO CHOOSE NEW STATION, PAUSE SCANNING by momentarily pressing the up or down button.
*SET THE NEW STATION BY LETTING THE RADIO PLAY ON DESIRED STATION FOR 20 SECONDS.
- SETTING THE FIREFLY BLINK RATE
Hold down both black buttons UNDER THE “Ball” logo on the lid for 8 seconds to toggle through blink rate options: “blink to music” / “random blinking” / “fireflies off”. * TO SET default blink rate, LEAVE IN DESIRED MODE FOR 20 seconds.
